  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp ketchup
  • 3 tbsp BBQ sauce
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp bread crumbs
  • 3 small chili peppers, diced
  • 5 oz mushrooms, diced
  • 4 cheese cubes
  • 16 slices of bacon
  • BBQ sauce to brush over the bacon

How To Make It

Step 1:

  • Cut off the ends of the onions and peel them. Cut the onions in half and set the outer 2 layers of each half aside for later. Dice the rest of the onions.

Step 2:

  • Mix the ground beef with the finely diced onions, parsley, ketchup, BBQ sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, bread crumbs, finely diced chili peppers, and diced mushrooms.

Step 3:

  • Form 4 balls out of the ground beef mixture. Press one cheese cube into each ball and press the ground beef mass together to completely enclose the cheese.

Step 4:

  • Cover each ground beef ball with 2 onion halves.

Step 5:

  • Wrap 4 slices of bacon around each stuffed onion.

Step 6:

  • Brush BBQ sauce over the bacon-wrapped stuffed onions and grill them over medium heat for 25-35 minutes until crispy and golden brown.
